Lawyers have hit back at allegations they're gaming the migration system on behalf of asylum seekers.
The Federal Government made the accusation today when revealing new rules to stop applications for asylum that it says don't have merit.
Other changes announced today include slugging international students a hefty fee to change visas and university courses, in a bid to stop what the government calls visa-hopping.
